Thread installation instructions:
– The thread must come out of the middle of the flat end of the spool. Make sure that it is not tangled in any way. It does not matter if the outside of the thread spool is partially unwound if no thread interferes with the main thread.
– Pull out four of five inches of thread from the center of the flat end of spool.
– Put the four or five inches of loose thread into the large end of the Tracker and blow hard until it comes out of the small end.
– Carefully insert the spool into the large end of the Tracker and plug the whole firmly with the cork, adhesive material, or for the 3D-SM Model, the screw in cap.
– Cover the protruding end of the thread with the provided string rubber backed adhesive material.
Attaching the Tracker to bow: (place wherever on riser you prefer):
Using dual lock faster method
– Clean the area on the bow opposite the arrow shelf with alcohol or another degreaser.
– Remove the protective film on the dual lock fastener strip and affix firmly to bow.
– Firmly press the Tracker to the fastener strip on bow. It will not pull straight off. To remove, twist it from the top or side.
Using bungee cord method: (Only for wooden original model)
– Loop bungee over front end of TradTracker, around bow and over opposite end of Tracker.
– Pull long tag end of bungee tight if necessary, and tie off in middle.
Attaching the thread to the Arrow:
– Remove the adhesive cover from the end of the Unit.
– For screw in points, partially unscrew the point and wrap several turns of thread around the space between the arrow and the point before retightening the point. I wrap at least five times.
– For glue in points use a small piece of tape (I recommend duct tape). Wrap the thread around the point and secure with tape. A small piece of tape can be put on the arrow in advance.
NOTICE: The adhesive end cap becomes easier to remove after taking it off the first time. The adhesive lasts a long time but eventually wears down. At that time simply cut off a small piece of the enclosed extra material. I keep an extra piece attached to my Tracker. When in use it can just be stuck to another part of the Tracker. I personally prefer using the camo adhesive material instead of the cork.
